“More than 90% of cancer deaths are caused by metastasis. Our research on prostate cancer focuses on mechanisms leading to prostate cancer metastasis, which will contribute to the management of patients with PC in two aspects: assessment of progression risk for proper treatment and identification of new targets for developing more effective treatments.” – Dr. Damu Tang.

“Dr Damu Tang was a part of the team of scientists and clinicians who were awarded a research grant of over $575,000 from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research. The grant will supported a three year research project, with the goal of isolating what is believed to be a primary cause of cancer growth in a subset of prostate cancers.”
